Fire, ambulance reports from June 9

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Commissioners received reports from the ambulance and fire department services on Monday, June 9.


Fire Chief Randy Hegwald reported that there were 10 calls for the past week, which brought the yearly total up to 304 calls. 


The commissioners approved three automatic aid agreements. Agreements were approved with La Cygne, Linn Valley and Pleasanton. These are all cities that also have their own fire departments. County Counselor Jacklyn Paletta will mail the agreements to the cities for their countersignatures.


American Medical Response (AMR) Operations Manager Dawn Brooks gave the report saying that it had been a busy week.


The report showed the month to date ambulance reports from June 1 through June 8. There have been a total of 36 calls resulting in 15 transports. The average response time is 16 minutes 59 seconds. The calls by city were:


• Blue Mound, 1 call, 1 transport

• Centerville, 2 calls, 1 transport

• Fulton, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Greeley, 0 calls, 0 transports

• La Cygne, 7 calls, 4 transports 

• Fontana, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Lane, 0 calls, 0 transports

` • Linn Valley, 6 calls, 2 transports

• Rich Hill, 0 calls, 0 transports

• Mound City, 6 calls, 2 transports

• Parker, 7 calls, 2 transports

• Pleasanton 6 calls, 2 transports

• Prescott, 1 call, 1 transports


Response numbers and times for this time period by commission districts are:


District 1 - 13 responses, 6 transports, 18 minutes 9 seconds average response time

District 2 – 9 responses, 4 transports, 10 minutes 5 seconds average response time 

District 3 – 14 responses, 5 transports, 20 minutes 19 seconds average response time
