Linn County

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Oct. 20, showed the current numbers for the week ending Oct. 18 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 43. Ten prisoners were released

the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 42.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation) 

• Twenty-four prisoners were from other facilities (19 United States Marshall Service, 5

Wyandotte County, $2,009.50 per day.)

• Total 911 calls were 100. 

• There were 3,611 jail contacts.                                                                                                    

• Total calls for service were 613. 

• Total civil service papers served were 21.                                                                                      

• There were eight vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty-three new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Twelve cases were closed.

• There were six vehicle crashes.

• There were 338 bailiff contacts resulting in 38 calls for service.                                                

• No reports of livestock out.
