Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending 17

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Tuesday, Jan. 20, showed the current numbers for the week ending Jan. 17.


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 69. Eleven prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 69.

• No prisoners were sent to another facility.

• Fifty-four prisoners were from other facilities (21 United States Marshall Service, 32 Wyandotte County, $4,008 per day.)

• Total 911 calls were 55. 

• There were 4,248 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 747.

• Total civil service papers served were 18.                                                                                       • There were 22 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-five new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

•  Five cases were closed.

• There were 11 vehicle crashes.

• School resource officer calls for service were 144.

• The number of bailiff contacts was 123 resulting in 58 calls for service.                                      • There were seven reports of livestock out.
