Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Aug. 2

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Aug. 4, showed the current numbers for the week ending Saturday, Aug. 2, were:

 

• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 60. Eighteen prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 59.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation)

• Thirty-five prisoners were from other facilities (20 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 17 Wyandotte County, $2,770.50 day.• Total 911 calls were 96.

• There were 4,551 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 574.

• Total civil service papers served were 21.                                                                                      • There were ten vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Six cases were closed.

• There were 10 vehicle crashes.

• There were no SRO activities. (Summer break)

• There were 125 bailiff contacts resulting in 51 calls for service.

• Two reports of livestock out were received.
