Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending January 31

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report for Monday, February. 2, showed the current numbers for the week ending Jan. 31.

• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 70. One prisoner was released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 70.

• No prisoners were sent to another facility.

• Fifty-three prisoners were from other facilities (21 United States Marshall Service, 32 Wyandotte County, at $4,008 per day.)

• Total 911 calls were 73.

• There were 4,507 jail contacts.                                                                                                

• Total calls for service were 686.

• Total civil service papers served were 20.                                                                               

• There were nine vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty-five new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Twelve cases were closed.

• There were 11 vehicle crashes.

• SRO calls for service were 74.

• The number of bailiff contacts was 121 resulting in 60 calls for service.

• There were no reports of livestock out.
