Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending July 19

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, July 21, showed the current numbers for the week ending July 19 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 56. Twenty-three prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 55.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-five prisoners were from other facilities (21 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 14 Wyandotte County, 1 other, $2,859.50/day.) 

• Total 911 calls were 84.  

• There were 4,441 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 617. 

• Total civil service papers served were 12.                    

• There were nine vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-four new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Six cases were closed.

• There was one vehicle crash.

• There were no SRO activities. (Summer break)

• There were 195 bailiff contacts resulting in 39 calls for service.                                                   • Two reports of livestock out were received.
