Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending June 13

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report read by Commissioner Jason Hightower for Monday, June 15, showed the current numbers for the week ending June 13.


  • Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 62 .  Eighteen prisoners were released.

  • Total prisoners in were 62.

  • No prisoners were sent to another facility.

  • Thirty-eight prisoners were from other facilities (21 United States Marshall Service, 17 Wyandotte County, $2,995.50 per day)

  • Total 911 calls were 71.

  • There were 4,795 jail contacts

  • Total calls for service were 715.

  • Total civil service papers served were 28.

  • There were 12 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

  • Forty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

  • Twenty-four cases were closed.

  • There were 10 vehicle crashes.

  • The number of bailiff contacts was 145 resulting in 81 calls for service.

  • There were six reports of livestock out.   

  • SRO calls for services were 0.  (School is out of session.)
