Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending June 14

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, June 9, showed the current numbers for the week ending June 14 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 52. Ten prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 51.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (One competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-three prisoners were from other facilities (25 U.S. Marshal’s Service, 8 Wyandotte County, 1 other, $2,807.50/day.) 

• Total 911 calls were 69.  

• There were 4,931 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 529. 

• Total civil service papers served were 32.                                                                                     • There were three vehicle identification number (VIN) inspection.

• Twenty-six new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Five cases were closed.

• There were seven vehicle crashes.

• There were 111 bailiff contacts resulting in 29 calls for service.                                                     • Four reports of livestock out were received.
