Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending June 7

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, June 9, showed the current numbers for the week ending June 7 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 52. Nine prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 51.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility (competency evaluation).

• Thirty-three prisoners were from other facilities (25 U.S. Marshals Service, 8 Wyandotte County, 0 other, $2,740/day.) 

• Total 911 calls were 80.  

• There were 4,297 jail contacts.                                                                                                         • Total calls for service were 539. 

• Total civil service papers served were 19.

• There were five vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Twenty-eight new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Seven cases were closed.

• There were 10 vehicle crashes.

• There were no SRO activities. (Summer break)

• There were 235 bailiff contacts resulting in 23 calls for service.                                                   • Three reports of livestock out were received..
