Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending May 30

MOUND CITY – The Linn County Sheriff’s report read by Commissioner Jason Hightower for Monday, June 1, showed the current numbers for the week ending May 30.

• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 55 .  Eight prisoners were released.

• Total prisoners in were 55.

• No prisoners were sent to another facility.

• Twenty-two prisoners were from other facilities (22 United States Marshall Service, 11 Wyandotte County, $2,687.50 per day)

• Total 911 calls were 71.

• There were 4,137 jail contacts                                                                                                    Total calls for service were 720.

• Total civil service papers served were 28.

• There were 12 vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty-three new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Fifteen cases were closed.

• There were seven vehicle crashes.

• The number of bailiff contacts was 57 resulting in 49 calls for service.

• There were 2 reports of livestock out.   

• There were no SRO calls for services because school is not in session.
