Linn County Sheriff's report for week ending Sept. 13

MOUND CITY – The Linn County’s Sheriff’s report for Monday, Sept. 15, showed the current numbers for the week ending Sept. 13 were:


• Total prisoners at the Justice Center the past week were 51. Twelve prisoners were released the past week.

• Total prisoners in were 50.

• One prisoner was sent to another facility. (competency evaluation) 

• Thirty-eight prisoners were from other facilities (19 United States Marshall Service, 19 Wyandotte County/ $2,954.50 day.)

• Total 911 calls were 94. 

• There were 4,652 jail contacts.                                                                                                       • Total calls for service were 562. 

• Total civil service papers served were 27.                                                                                     • There were eight vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections.

• Thirty-one new cases (criminal, child in need of care, etc.) were opened.

• Eleven cases were closed.

• There were four vehicle crashes.

• SRO activities N/A 

• There were 121 bailiff contacts resulting in 64 calls for service.                                                   • Three reports of livestock out.
